Buranakata is a symbol of prosperity and fertility. It is typically depicted as a water pot filled to the brim, with leafy vines sprouting from both sides to represent the origin of life and creative energy. This emblem appears in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, especially in Dvaravati-era and Lanna art and culture, where it is often shown as a “flower pot” or in the decorative motif known as “lai mo dok” (floral pot design).
