The DEC Exposure project, supported by the Contemporary Art Promotion Fund under Thailand's Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture, and implemented by the Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University, aims to establish a platform for sharing art and design information.
This platform provides free access to resources that the public can utilize for personal or commercial creative projects. Initially, the focus will be on Thai decorative patterns, specifically traditional artwork from temples in Bangkok. These resources will include photographs and ready-to-use vector files, encouraging Thai designers to recognize the value of traditional Thai art for contemporary design applications, thereby contributing to its preservation.
Pairoj Teeraprapa was honored with the Silpathorn Award in Graphic Arts in 2014. He is the founder of "Rang Bandan Thai" (แรงบันดาลไทย), a group of graphic designers who leverage Thai art and cultural heritage in their work, and "SiamType" (เซียมไท้), a group of typeface designers.
Assoc. Prof. Arwin Intrungsi is a faculty member in the Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University. He currently holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Decorative Arts.
Panot Thongprasert is a typeface designer for the SiamType group. He also works as a freelance designer and is a special lecturer at the Faculty of Digital Art, Sripatum University.
Asst. Prof. Teerawat Pojviboonsiri is a faculty member in the Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University. He is a typeface designer with a passion for vintage typefaces.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Visit Pothiwat is a faculty member in the field of Creative Graphics at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. He is a calligraphic typeface designer with a unique style.
